A Day in the Life:

Valuing the Ordinary

We can always imagine what things might have looked like in the past, but we'd never really know for sure. It is made much easier by photojournalists who have provided us with a valuable insight through the images they captured - we can see what London looked like 100 years ago with a quick search online, we can see what people wore, what they did, how they looked. We can always try to remember how day-to-day things looked in our own lives, but it's not always possible to recall all the little details. The day in the life session takes a documentary style approach, capturing a series of natural photographs of your family doing your 'everyday' things: the school run, walking the dog, a visit to the shops or the park, watching Peppa Pig together, reading a bedtime story.  This photographic narrative aims to capture the beautiful, organic and very real moments occurring from a typical day in your family life.

What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.
